Peugeot has revealed that the new 208 range will get its world premier at the Geneva Motor Show next week, including the pure-electric e-208 variant.
Set to feature a 50 kWh battery and 100 kW electric motor, the e-208 will offer a range of 211 miles (WLTP) on a single charge.
Rapid charging at speeds of up to 100 kW will be possible, reducing the time taken for a 0-80% charge to less than 30 minutes. Home and public charging will take up to 8 hours.
Peugeot is launching connected EV services, familiar to many plug-in car drivers, including charge status updates and timer, and pre-conditioning.
A heat pump will be fitted to improve the efficiency of the heating system, and heated seats will be available depending on specification. Driving modes will include Eco, Normal, and Sport.
Services available will include home and/or workplace charge points, a public charge point pass under the French group's Free2Move mobility programme, driving coaching via the MyPeugeot app, and digital journey simulators to improve customer understanding as to the capabilities of their EV.
